Lab Intermittence Coating Machine – Three-Roll Transfer Coater for Battery Electrodes

The Lab Intermittence Coating Machine is a batch-type three-roll transfer coating system designed for precision electrode coating in battery research and development. It can perform both continuous and intermittent coating patterns, making it exceptionally versatile for various substrate coating processes, particularly in the lithium-ion battery industry. This equipment bridges the gap between laboratory experimentation and production-scale coating, delivering coating accuracy and consistency comparable to full-scale manufacturing lines.

Working Principle:

This coater utilizes a three-roll transfer mechanism where coating material is transferred from a applicator roll to the substrate via precision metering rolls. The comma scraper provides precise measurement of coating thickness with an accurate adjustment mechanism. Substrate transport is controlled through tension control systems and an EPC (edge position control) correction device to ensure stable tape transport and precise coating registration.
