Microporous Aluminum Foil – High-Performance Perforated Current Collector for Li-Ion Batteries

Microporous aluminum foil is a new type of current collector manufactured through secondary processing of conventional lithium battery aluminum foil. Using precision mechanical processing to create uniform micro-holes, this innovative material maximizes the retention of the original foil’s physical and chemical properties while adding the benefits of a porous structure.

Designed with solid areas (ribs) for enhanced mechanical strength and current collection. Available configurations:

  • Both sides blocked
  • Both sides + middle ribs
  • Multi-wide ribs

Technical Requirement for Ribs:
In ribbed series products, the micro hole density within the rib areas shall be less than 10% of the effective hole density.
