Ultrasonic Welding Machine GN-800 – 800W Metal Welder for Li-Ion Pouch Cell Tab Welding

We designed the GN-800 Ultrasonic Welding Machine specifically for welding stacked electrode sheets and tabs onto current collectors in lithium-ion pouch cell R&D laboratories. Unlike resistance welders, this ultrasonic system creates strong, reliable bonds between copper and aluminum materials without generating excessive heat. Therefore, it preserves the integrity of sensitive electrode coatings.

Working Principle:

The welder generates high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations (30-40 kHz) that create friction and molecular diffusion between metal layers. Consequently, it produces a solid-state bond without melting the materials. This process ensures low electrical resistance and high mechanical strength at the weld interface.

• Multi-Layer Capability: Handles up to 20 layers of stacked electrodes, making it suitable for high-capacity pouch cells.
• Adjustable Frequency: You can tune the ultrasonic frequency from 30 to 40 kHz, so you optimize welding for different material combinations and thicknesses.
• Precision Welding Area: The 4×4mm welding zone provides consistent, localized bonding, thus preventing damage to surrounding areas.
• Pneumatic Control: Air pressure regulation (0.5-0.8MPa) allows you to adjust clamping force for various stack configurations.
• R&D Focus: Compact design and intuitive controls make it ideal for laboratory environments where flexibility and precision matter most.
• Material Versatility: Welds both copper and aluminum tabs to corresponding current collectors, supporting various battery chemistries.
