Lab Semi-auto Stacking Machine – Z-Type Stacker for Lithium-Ion Battery Electrode Assembly

We engineered this Lab Semi-auto Stacking Machine specifically for lithium-ion battery electrodes and metal lithium stacking processes. Unlike winding methods, this Z-type stacking approach delivers superior performance for larger format cells and lithium metal anodes. Consequently, it has become essential equipment for advanced battery R&D and sample production.

Working Principle:

The machine adopts a tension roller structure design with automatic constant tension control for the roll separator. First, a motor drives the stacking table left and right to achieve Z-shaped stacking. During this reciprocating process, the system precisely layers electrodes and separators to assemble the complete battery cell. Finally, the stacking table calculates the accumulated thickness and adjusts its position accordingly, so it never damages the electrodes.

  • Intelligent Thickness Management: The motor-driven stacking table accurately calculates battery thickness and descent, preventing electrode damage during stacking.
  • Programmable Controls: Centralized PLC control with touch screen interface lets you set stack quantity, monitor production, and store parameters.
  • Anti-Stick Shaking Function: The equipment shakes during suction, preventing the suction cup from picking up multiple electrodes at once.
  • Fault Diagnosis System: In case of malfunction, the machine automatically sounds an alarm and displays the problem point. After manual troubleshooting and reset, operation can resume normally.
  • Electrode Protection: Special treatment on suction plates and pressure hands ensures no damage to lithium metal or electrodes during handling.
